Blog Strategies - Using Blogging and Social Networking To Make Your Business Work Better!

By

So, you’ve taken your business to the medium that is currently being used by most people but you’re not seeing the returns that you thought you would see? Reconsider. Are you blogging? Probably not, right? Blogging is, after all, one of the best free ways to direct more traffic to your part of the Web. It does not stop at that, though. Using blogging to get more visitors and possible customers is all well and good, but that’s not all that you have to do. There is a blog strategy that is making a lot of good things happen for Internet marketers - it involves using Web 2.0 social networking sites.

There is a very strong reason why you should consider using social bookmarking sites to promote your business better. It is that people, right now, rely heavily on these websites to get informed. Digg, for example, is a very famous news site. In 2008 alone, it generated traffic from over 230 million visitors. This is why Digg gets visited by a lot of successful blog administrators. They know that people are checking Digg every day. The way Digg promotes articles is also very clever. Readers can vote for the article if they find it to their liking, and the article will be promoted to the top pages, and be visible to millions of eyes. The other social bookmarking sites use this kind of voting system, too.

If the articles that you have posted do not get voted up on Digg and the other social bookmarking sites, you still have the option of providing one-way backlinks to your blog. Therefore, it is never a losing situation when you use social marketing sites to bring your business to more people. Doing it is not at all hard, too. You only have to click to get a lot more potential visitors and customers.

Another added benefit that blogging and submitting your blog posts to social networking sites is that you get to establish your brand properly. It would help, though, if you can ensure that the keywords that would be recognized in your articles are the keywords that people use when they are looking for a company like yours. Blogging would also increase your search rank on search engine pages, and would automatically direct readers to your website if you do proper keyword optimization.

One more thing, though. Don’t get overwhelmed and feel the need to post every article that you have written in every social networking site on the Web. Chances are, another one would be launched every so often, and you’ll be stretching yourself too thin.

It would help better if you would choose only some of the best and most visited social networking sites. After that, you can devote a bigger amount of your time to submitting blog posts to those sites. Once in a while, though, you can hit up on the other social networking sites and give them article submissions, too, so that your Web presence would be established better.

Using social marketing alongside blogging to widen your business horizons is a very good thing. If you do it with dedication and devotion, you may see that it’s everything that you needed.
